Stephanie E. Dankel is an associate attorney at Cage Bucar Lewis, LLC. She received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Stephanie is dedicated to the well-being of children and families. Prior to becoming an attorney, Stephanie worked as a foster care social worker in South Carolina. As a social worker, Stephanie gained experience working with families in the legal system. Stephanie’s experience prompted her to attend law school in order to learn how to better serve children and families as they navigate difficult life circumstances.

Throughout law school, Stephanie had the privilege of working with judicial officers and attorneys who are passionate about building and reforming the field of family law in Colorado. Stephanie interned with Justice Brian Boatright of the Colorado Supreme Court, Judge David Furman of the Colorado Court of Appeals, Judge Laurie Clark of Denver Juvenile Court, and the Department of Human Services Foster Care Legal Division. In her third year of law school, Stephanie was a law clerk at Cage Bucar Lewis, LLC, where she is now an associate attorney. Stephanie’s experience in both the private and public sector of juvenile and family law has given her valuable insight into the emotional, mental, and financial toll families may endure through the legal process.

Stephanie focuses her practice on family law, including divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, and post-decree modifications. Stephanie is also a certified mediator.

Stephanie has co-authored various publications, including the Juvenile Law Case Law Update. Stephanie volunteers with Project Worthmore, Metro Volunteer Lawyers, and the Denver Rescue Mission. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys gardening, skiing, scuba and travel.
